Your day first. Your insights close behind.
Home opens with what you have planned and logged today. It also gives you a compact daily summary and two or three insights from topics you choose.
- At a glance: protein, carbs and fat first, followed by steps and recorded sleep hours. No calorie total. The user can customise which of these appears.
- Your day: time-ordered meals, calendar plans and logs, visibly marked as planned, logged or confirmed.
- Calendar: confirm or skip a planned workout directly on Home; the plan itself does not count as completed exercise.
- Patterns to review: show two or three observations already detected from logged data and awaiting the user’s review. Each card gives a count or comparison and opens the evidence page, where it can be marked useful, irrelevant or worth watching.
- Track: one prominent plus opens the choice of food, bowel movement, symptom, period or exercise.
your week
▦The connected timeline
Moves from today to a full week. Food, symptoms, stool, period and workouts share one time axis, while calendar events remain clearly marked as planned until confirmed.
- Day and week views.
- Filter by category without losing the full story.
- Tap an entry to amend its time or details.
- Past days can be backfilled.

What would you like to add?
One fast place to log
The centre navigation opens five core entry types. No numbers or targets are required to start.
- Default to the current time, with an easy edit for earlier entries.
- Remember frequently used meals and activities.
- Allow a useful basic entry in a few taps; extra details stay optional.
add food
What did you eat?
Log a meal your way
Stores what was eaten and when. Ingredient tags give the pattern view something specific to compare, without forcing calorie counting.
- Text first; photo and voice can suggest an editable draft later.
- Save usual meals for one-tap repeat logging.
- Optional portions, ingredients and nutrition details.
- Show original text beside any AI interpretation so mistakes are easy to fix.
bowel movement
A quick private check-in.
1 = hard lumps · 4 = smooth, soft · 7 = liquid
Track when you poo
Time and stool type form the basic entry. Urgency, pain and other details help distinguish different experiences later.
- Bristol stool scale shown with clear descriptions in the working version.
- Permit multiple entries on one day.
- Optionally record no bowel movement in the daily review.
- Sensitive details remain private and can be deleted individually.
gut symptom
What are you noticing?
Mild Strong
Capture the feeling and time
A symptom entry links what happened to meals, bowel movements, period status and exercise nearby on the timeline.
- Choose one or more symptoms and a 1–5 severity.
- Capture onset time, not just the time it was logged.
- Optionally add duration or a free-text note.
- Edit an entry if the symptom changes.
your cycle
Add context in your own way.
Period as context
Records actual period days and optional symptoms. Pattern comparisons use those dates, rather than assuming every cycle has the same length.
- Log start/end days and flow.
- Edit or omit a cycle at any time.
- Compare gut symptoms and bowel changes around recorded period days.
- Cycle insights remain observational, not fertility predictions.
exercise
What did you actually do?
Movement changes the food plan
A workout becomes part of the gut timeline and informs meal timing and suggestions. Food guidance should adapt to duration, intensity, preference and what feels comfortable for the user.
- Manual entry or confirmed import from calendar/wearable.
- Distinguish planned from completed movement.
- Offer a meal or snack suggestion around activity.
- Include exercise when exploring symptom patterns.
your patterns
In these example entries, gut symptoms rise around the days before a period.
Your patterns, in context
The tab is now called Patterns. This screen follows your reference: a horizontal topic menu, one featured pattern with a chart, then a short list of related observations.
- Topic tabs: Cycle, Nutrition, Gut, Sleep, Energy and Mood; Gut is selected in this example.
- Featured pattern: a concise observation with a visual comparison over time. An × dismisses it from the featured position without deleting its underlying entries.
- Influences: rows open the evidence behind period, food and other possible relationships.
- Review: the detailed view shows sample size, comparison dates and uncertainty, then lets the person mark it useful, irrelevant or worth watching.

Explore evidence ›Observations worth exploring
Start with the topics that matter most: possible food triggers, bowel patterns, menstrual context and movement. Show the observation and sample size before offering any interpretation.
- Topic tabs: Cycle, Food, Gut, Exercise.
- Separate sample demonstrations from genuine personal findings.
- Show “not enough data” when entries are sparse.
- Each card opens its evidence page.
onion & bloating
Example · based on 15 sample days
Meals containing onion and bloating recorded later that day, compared with days without onion.
Show the evidence
Explains exactly which entries were compared, the time window, relevant cycle/exercise context and missing information.
- Counts and comparison days remain visible.
- Tap through to the underlying timeline entries.
- Allow the user to mark an observation useful, irrelevant or worth watching.
- Clear language about uncertainty.
your plan
▦Plan an easy meal afterwards. Confirm the class before it counts toward your activity.
Meals around real life
Suggests familiar food around exercise, calendar plans and preferences while letting someone change every suggestion.
- Saved favourites and exclusions shape suggestions.
- Show why a meal was suggested and allow a swap.
- Consider gut notes without automatically banning a suspected food.
- After confirming exercise, revisit timing and portion suggestions.
your space
Preference and privacy centre
Holds food preferences, optional health context, connected services and clear controls for sensitive entries.
- Choose which data categories feed insights.
- Connect selected calendars; use read-only access.
- Export, correct or delete entries.
- Keep cycle and bowel data especially easy to control.
